Aaron is a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker at Grace Recovery Hub, currently in his third year of a Bachelor of Psychology and on track to graduate early next year, with the long-term goal of becoming a registered psychologist. He brings a thoughtful, grounded, and relatable approach to his work, shaped by both his academic studies and lived experience with anxiety and depression, allowing him to support others with empathy, authenticity, and understanding. Before transitioning into mental health, Aaron spent 15 years running his own landscaping business, developing strong discipline and an appreciation for the therapeutic benefits of routine, physical activity, and outdoor spaces. Outside of work and study, he enjoys staying active, kayak fishing in the bay, and spending time with his American Bulldog cross, Kayla, and his half-Bengal cat, Claude, helping him stay balanced and grounded.

She has recently managed a major research project exploring Indigenous women and victim misidentification, demonstrating her awareness of complex social and mental health challenges within the community. She has seen a wide range of complex situations and consistently demonstrates the ability to coordinate supports with clarity, efficiency, and care. Known for her calm approach and genuine kindness, Jasmine manages even the most complex cases with a smile, ensuring individuals feel supported every step of the way. Jasmine is exceptional not only as a Support Coordinator but also as a Recovery Coach, bringing a holistic and person-centred approach to her work. She is passionate about building genuine connections and keeping her approach real, approachable, and tailored to each individual. Her strong background, combined with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, allows her to understand mental health and human behaviour at a deeper level. As a tutor, she experienced firsthand how rewarding one-to-one support can be—especially when witnessing someone grow in confidence and achieve their goals. These experiences translate naturally into mental health support, where trust, encouragement, and personalised guidance are essential. Outside of her professional work, Ladan enjoys activities that nurture creativity, curiosity, and wellbeing. She loves reading both fiction and non-fiction, particularly fantasy, sci-fi, dystopian, and romance novels—genres that explore human resilience, identity, and emotional depth. She also enjoys writing creative stories, an outlet that allows her to reflect on human experiences and emotions. Staying active is important to her as well, and she enjoys bouldering, rock climbing, hiking, and exploring nature, recognising the powerful role that movement and the outdoors play in supporting mental health. With more than five years of experience working within the health system, Stuart has supported individuals across a wide range of mental health settings, including hospital-based services where consumers required varying levels of support. His calm and steady approach allows him to confidently navigate complex situations while ensuring that every person feels respected, heard, and empowered throughout their recovery journey. A passionate advocate for mental health, Stuart’s core philosophy has always been centred around giving consumers a voice and helping them live lives free from stigma and judgment. He strongly believes that every individual deserves the right to make their own choices, maintain their independence, and live according to their own goals and values. Stuart has also worked within mental health units in the prison system, a challenging but deeply rewarding experience that strengthened his ability to support individuals facing significant barriers and complex mental health needs. His background in peer work and consumer advocacy has further shaped his person-centred approach, ensuring that people remain at the centre of every decision affecting their lives. Danny is a compassionate, mature, and highly dedicated Mental Health Support Worker who brings a strong understanding of psychology, mental health, and human behaviour to Grace Recovery Hub. Having completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology), Danny combines his academic knowledge with more than 15 years of volunteering experience across community support, fundraising, and other people-focused environments. He has a calm and reassuring approach, allowing him to remain composed when situations become challenging or complex. Danny believes that good mental health support begins with listening, understanding the individual behind the challenges, and creating an environment where people feel safe, respected, and empowered. Danny's commitment to supporting others is reflected strongly in his work as a Social Support Volunteer with Western Health, where he provides companionship and emotional support to people who may be experiencing isolation, anxiety, or vulnerability during their hospital stay. This experience has strengthened his understanding of how meaningful human connection can positively influence someone's emotional wellbeing. Danny is passionate about person-centred support and enjoys building genuine, trusting relationships that help people develop confidence, work towards their goals, maintain independence, and feel more connected to their community. Now, Tam is passionate about using her experience to give back to the community, helping people feel supported, connected, and more confident in navigating everyday life. For Tam, mental health support is about much more than simply being there—it is about genuine connection, community, and understanding each person's individual story. She is naturally curious and enjoys getting to know the people she supports, discovering what matters to them and working alongside them towards meaningful personal goals. Jarryd is a calm, capable, and genuinely caring Mental Health Support Worker who brings a unique combination of people skills, technical experience, and problem-solving ability to Grace Recovery Hub. After more than 12 years working in IT, including service delivery and team management, Jarryd realised that the most rewarding part of his career was never simply solving technical problems—it was supporting people, helping them grow, and seeing them achieve their goals. This inspired him to take a new direction and focus his energy on making a meaningful difference in the lives of people who need support. Always willing to help, Jarryd brings empathy, patience, and a practical mindset to every interaction. His previous career has also given Jarryd valuable skills that translate naturally into mental health support. Having managed both small and large teams and led responses during major IT outages, he understands how to remain calm under pressure, think clearly when situations become complex, communicate effectively, and find practical solutions during stressful moments. Jarryd brings these strengths into his support work while recognising that every person's circumstances, needs, and goals are different. He is motivated by helping people build independence, recognise their capabilities, and work towards outcomes that are meaningful to them, always approaching support with respect and genuine human connection. Outside of work, Jarryd enjoys spending quality time with his two children, getting out to the footy, going on easy hikes, reading, and playing video games.
